Bold, intense, and full of depth, our Single Origin Sumatra Coffee Beans are sourced from the Mandheling region of North Sumatra. Wet-hulled by tradition and grown in the island's lush highlands, Sumatra beans produce a uniquely full-bodied coffee with a smooth, lingering finish.

Expertly roasted to enhance their natural richness, this coffee delivers deep notes of dark chocolate, earthy spice, and toasted nuts, with a subtle smoky sweetness and low acidity. It's a perfect choice for those who enjoy a strong, grounding cup with a heavy body and robust flavour.

Ideal for espresso, cafetière, the stovetop moka pot, and bean-to-cup machines — this is a coffee that particularly shines with milk. A classic single origin for anyone who loves a darker, more intense brew.

BEHIND THE ORIGIN

From Sumatra's Mandheling Heartland

Indonesia is one of the world's most distinctive coffee origins, with generations of tradition behind its heavy-bodied, deeply flavoured cups. Our lot is sourced from the country's Sumatran Island, where the famous grade name, Mandheling, still signals some of the region's most characterful coffee.

What makes Mandheling coffee unique is the wet-hulling process — a traditional Indonesian method that removes the parchment from the bean while it's still wet. The result is a heavy, low-acid cup of dark chocolate and gentle spice, finished with a hint of tobacco-leaf earthiness and a smooth, lingering body.

Bold, full and quietly intense, this is a coffee that holds its own as a serious espresso and rewards a slow, careful filter brew — a cup with depth that demands attention.
